MESA BOOGIE RECTIFIER

ericmeyer's picture

This is a MESA BOOGIE RECITIFIER patch that I think everyone will find useful. I find I have success across the board using a humbucker in the bridge position on any guitar. I even use my G&L S-500 and I can toggle between neo-classical tones and single coil lead tones. Drop me a line and let me know what you think.

I gather that you mean that

I gather that you mean that you like this patch?? How come this guy isn't posting more stuff? The cool thing about this patch is that if you're strong on your picking hand this patch is versatile enough to cover Van Halen to most metal. Is there any way to pick this guys brain to see what else he has?

Unless he still comes around

Unless he still comes around here, I don't know. I tried clicking on his profile but it denied me access. Maybe admin could help us out.

I've found him and he seems

I've found him and he seems to be busy recording, writing and creating tones as evidenced on his music. I haven't had a response from him yet. The music I've heard from him seems to be everything from blues to metal. Does anybody know why we can't reach him through this site?

FYI.. some of his patches

FYI.. some of his patches disappeared for some reason. I don't think he uses a Tonelab anymore. Do a myspace search for more info on his gear. He is missed, he had a great ear for patches.

getyergrooveon's picture

I actually got a response

I actually got a response back from him and he's still using the Tonelab SE but it seems he doesn't agree with all the religion being posted on the website and is only interested in making music and swapping ideas and not discussing religion. He also stated that previous postings he made were filtered and removed by Admin because they didn't agree or like what he had to say and thus he decided to remove all his prior uploads. He said that if you can say what you want without repercussions so should he. Since he felt this site was a one way street he didn't want to be a part of it. He has quite the extensive library of patches but to get them you have to contact him.

But where do I find this

But where do I find this patch? Is it still available?

kaal's picture

Well "all the religion being

Well "all the religion being posted" is also not really my thing, but it does not cause me to turn away. This site is simply the best ToneLab community I know.
I don't support censoring in any way, but it is Jon's site so if he decides to remove a post, nobody can hinder him. For my personal opinion, Jon is actually a bit too strict in this respect sometimes. I believe in a free discussion, respect and tolerance, and as long as nobody is being harassed or offended, I dont see a reason to intervene or even remove a post. I also know and respect that (as I learned in my professional life) the "culture of constructive controversy" really differs a lot between countries and continents, and actually enjoy this.

Still, it is a pity that valuable members like Eric decided to stay away.

A lot of people have their

A lot of people have their own belief and a lot dont want to have it shoved down their throats all the time, and this is exactly what drives people away from the subject, it's true one can just ignore all the comments made and move on with their own topics, some people just dont want to hear it at all and then get bombarded with criticism. So in all I must say I seem to echo Kaal's thoughts here and the show must go on.
If the patch was posted during my membership here there is a 99.9% chance that very patch is on my Tonelab page, I know it may be like looking for a needle in a hay stack but I'm sure its there.

Kaal and Monte; I agree with

Kaal and Monte;
I agree with you as well.
This is a site dedicated to the Tonelab.
There are other sites that I am involved in, where open discussion about faith and music are encouraged. That's where I hang out.
Honestly, I barely remember the posts.
But the thread were getting out of control, it was becoming personal attacks more than debate.
And that's sad, no matter what side of the water you live on.
I love freedom of expression.
I respect Jon's desire to keep the site free from political and religious debate.
Those of us talk about how we use the Tonelab in our enviroments.
Its really no different if you are playing your Tonelab in clubs, etc.
All of us want to get better at using it.
I miss Eric's contributions to the site as well.
Monte, there is a good chance that you have those patches on your website.
I remember going through
Eric's patches. Some of them are good.
Monte and I joined this site around the same time.
I would suggest people to visit Monte's site ( interesting as well)

Why don't you guys touch

Why don't you guys touch base with Eric on Myspace? He doesn't seem opposed to chatting with anyone he just seems opposed to dealing with this site. As he told me...it's all well and good if people want to share their religious points but he will not be criticized, ridiculed or censored for having a differing opinion. Eric specifically cited Jon as the reason he will not pull out the library of posts that he has from the Tonelab sites prior to Jon's site.
