i´ve tried to make it myself, but it wasn´t so good, i also tried the patches from this site but they didn´t match my expectations either. my intent isn´t that exact sound, but some similar with that extrem dynamic
it would be great if someone could help me
thx in advance

I've been trying to get
Fri, 2007/03/09 - 4:20pm — PetrucciisGodI've been trying to get something like that out of the TL, but to no avail. If someone has anything close, PLEASE post.
well I'll say that the lead
Fri, 2007/03/09 - 10:39pm — mself61well I'll say that the lead part sounds somewhat close to the CARLOS patch thats floating about, of course you might want to alter the volume of the patch to 11 or so.
as for the opening arpeggios I was just turning down the volume on my pick-up, try using the neck pickup as well.
Thats a cool video BTW...

Try the MESA BOOGIE
Sat, 2007/03/10 - 2:18pm — Vincentj46Try the MESA BOOGIE RECTIFIER patch. I just loaded it. She sings on mine, HB or split in parallel.
Hi, @Vincentj46 the MESA
Sun, 2007/03/11 - 10:43am — jasonbeckerHi,
@Vincentj46 the MESA patch is very good, but a bit to angry
so i´ve modified it a little bit:
Sorry i have no midi controller, i write it in here
Gain: 3,9
VRGain: 7,9
Treble: 4,4
Middle: 7,9
Bass: 9,4
Presence: 8,7
Noisegate: off
then i used the tube overdrive instead of the treble boost
Drive: 3,8
Level: 7,3
Tone: 5,7
Delay: analog standard
Reverb: Hall 1 standard
so far so good, with this settings i have at least a lot of dynamics and sustain, its not perfect but you´re able to play many satriani sounds like starry night, friends, crush of love and so on.
and give your opinion! and if somebody has a better one, please post it.
you´re all welcome to test it
@mself61 the CARLOS patch has not enough "pressure", i think

and certainly i use the tone and volume potis on my IBANEZ RG 507, tone at 5-6 and volume at 3 for the arps and 4-5 for for the rest till the end part then i turn all to 10 and it rocks

well this is odd, the Mesa
Sun, 2007/03/11 - 12:34pm — mself61well this is odd, the Mesa patch that is posted here has way different settings than what you posted, I even checked the one in my database and their both the same, the original values for MESA LD and MESA HVY are the same and set like so....
Gain: 7.7
VRGain: 8
Treble: 6.1
Middle: 3.3
Bass: 5.2
Presence: 4
Noisegate: 6.4
Do you mean for that "," to be a "." cause I was thinking you put before and after values?
ok after assuming the "," is a "." I changed the values and will post the new one as JSALWAYS.tlp
www.selfdistruction.com
hi, yes, the "," should be a
Sun, 2007/03/11 - 3:17pm — jasonbeckerhi,
yes, the "," should be a "." my fault, sorry

and yes, that examples ought to be values.
but i have explained, that i have changed the setting to my new ones, and i have posted that new values because i have no midi controller, why should i post the original ones?
however, it should be clear now
and what do you think about the patch? what do you want to modify? if you want
so my clock is a little later than yours
its 11pm at my home now - i´ll go to bed, and it would be nice, if you post your opinion of that patch, maybe i´m wrong and i´m the only one who thinks that way, who knows?
okay happy posting!
Torsten
It sounds pretty close I
Sun, 2007/03/11 - 4:57pm — mself61It sounds pretty close I think.. but then I'm not really picky but I know its nice to have a patch sound like you peeled it of the record. I posted it as JSALWAYS.tlp anyway. may get more feedback.

Those are my patches (MESA
Tue, 2007/03/13 - 4:40pm — getyergrooveonThose are my patches (MESA HVY and MESA LD). The MESA HVY is a rhythm patch and the MESA LD is a lead batch. Not much difference between them other than a volume boost. These are patches that I posted once and then removed. I'm the one who originally posted them. If they've been modified I don't know what to tell people but they worked great originally.
