I've had the Vox for over a year now, and I've come to the conclusion that the number of "good" models is limited, but the sound and tone of a clean patch is superb... I usually beef it up by adding a few choice effects into the loop. The best is a real Tube Screamer, a good Compressor/Sustainer, maybe a good phase shifter or flanger, and a good muffy overdrive for more serious crunch. That seems to get it close to a good amp and maintain good tone. I'm hoping I can do as well using more on-board effects though... So I asked for help.
