I'm a music leader at my church and make the song list along with the other members of the band including the pastor who plays bass. I thinks groups should play what inspires them the most and I encourage those so inclined to write their own songs. All but but 3 of our songs in our current list are original. I think they're pretty great. If you get into them, then the people listening get into them too...Those that don't can choose a different worship setting. Simply put, you can't please everyone...Make a Joyful Noise...Ken
