There are three guitar sounds in Blue on Black: An acoustic rhythm, a univibe-type second rhythm, and a bluesy, wah lead. They're all here.
I'm using a strat, granted a very hot strat, so you may need to bump up the gain to get a good crunch if you don't have active electronix (by the way, I will build custom active electronix for a fee. 
)
I use my neck pickup for the acoustic rhythm sound, and my bridge pickup for the other two.
