Wed, 2006/05/17 - 2:51pm — 5thumbsI'm glad you liked it, Steve. I use this patch from time to time to emulate my acoustic, but it can be useful for other sounds as well. FWIW, a newfound use for one of my patches based off 'Johnny $' is with my HSS strat-clone (with twinblade humbuckers in the mid and neck) is to turn on this patch, put the 5-way on the neck pickup and enjoy sweet, fat strat tones with highlighted uppers.
My BJMACOUS patch has a few tweaks over the 'Johnny $' patch, namely the tweaks discussed by Dirt123 in this thread: http://www.tonelab.net/node/193. Basically, I've added some upper sounds via the PITCH SHIFTER mod effect. The initial idea was to get some 12-string-esque effect via detuning mod tricks.
