VOX ToneLab Patch Exchange

i have a gt6 and find it thin in sound
so would like to know from any body who has used both gt8 and tonelab se what one sounded more real
my style of music is Pink floyd meets dire straits with a touch of satriani thrown in
i have been playing for about 20 years and have had boss pedal boards for many years but lately i find boss distortion sounds are not as real as they used to be
i have not had a chance to try gt8 or tlse so i was just wondering what your opinions on the two boards might be and what might suit my style better
