Amazing!

Hey guys! I got a Tonelab LE a few weeks ago. I just wanted to get the best sound possible for the band and even just when I am playing at home. This thing makes anything sound GREAT! I love this thing, it really improved the cleans on my 5150 and it's all I would need really. The only problem is that I don't think I can use this with my current band as we switch from distorted to clean a lot in every song, and I noticed the time it takes to switch a channel is a little longer than my old distortion pedal I was using.

Now, I just have a question. Does anyone have experience with the new Tonelab ST? I am wondering if switching channels is smoother and quicker on it. Thanks guys.

When I practice with the band I tweak the sounds of the closest pre-existing patch to fit the song we are playing. Then I save that new patch in a bank I use between 10 and 19. Next I note the new saved patch number on the set list . When I get home I set up the new patches in set list order so they are easily changed between (sometimes during) songs.

I'll do the same. The idea

I'll do the same.
The idea is to have also a completely "clean" sound and be able to select that easily.
It appears the old Tonelab SE allowed for easy switching.
Now I guess I will need to have one footswitch, say the first, in any bank/row allocated to a clean, no-effects, no modulation sound, and the others (2/3/4 + control) do whatever makes sense in the playlist.

The reason: the sound of my small all tube Marshall Jubilee is good/best for many of the songs on the playlist, and the footswitch controlled tube-distortion can more or less be replicated with the TLLE but only more or less..

I would not try to move patches around according to changes in the playlist. Once you know by heart which sounds/effects are in which bank, it becomes very easy to use them, say, if you decide to add, or drop a song during the concert.

In any event, my first impression with the TLLE: has potential but requires more fiddling than I had aniticipated before it can replace my current (old) effects set-up.
