Hi all
How about a section where we can upload samples of real amps, and include the guitar used, pickup used and settings on your amp?
Then we can compare the tonelab model to the real thing and this will help all of us who have never used a Fender Bassman to get a proper Fender Bassman sound from the modeler.
For example, upload an mp3 with a typical VoxAC30 clean sound through a Strat bridge pick-up and give detail on the amp settings. Then other users can go along and compare their sound to the "real" sound and make adjustments to get a more accurate model?
Is this a good or a bad idea?
Peace all
LL

LL, You bring a great point
Tue, 2008/10/28 - 7:03am — ChicoBluezLL,
You bring a great point to the table. Without knowledge of what the great classic amps tones are, most are stabbing in the dark and may waste hours tweaking.
I have been very fortunate to own many amps and rely on my 39 year playing experience to dial up most any tone.
Most amp and modeler sites have mp3 samples of their respective tones. That may be of help.

I've never owned a "nice"
Tue, 2008/10/28 - 8:37pm — mself61I've never owned a "nice" amp, the only way I know some amps is by the tones in modelers, and listening to recording or live of those who do play them, I've played through a few in the stores and a few friends. there is a sight somewhere (forget the link) that has some samples of some popular amps. So many great tones so little time.

Wed, 2008/11/05 - 10:03am — nomad100i would point out that all controls on noon not very helpful since most amps don't sound good that way.
