I'm glad to have found this forum. I am currently playing in a P&W church band with a Martin acoustic. We're looking at 'livening' things up a bit, so I brought in my custom pedalboard, full of mostly BOSS stompboxes to practice one night. Like I suspected, it sounded utterly horrible going direct to PA. I have a Marshall TSL602, but I'm not going to be bringing that to church every Sunday, etc. So, I realized I was now in the market for amp modeling equipment.
So, I did my research and settled for a Tonelab SE, over the LE. I'm currently waiting for it to be shipped. I just find it amazing to find a forum of fellow Tonelab owners that are also using them in church!
Anyway, glad to meet you all and thanks for a great forum!

welcome... I'm sure you'll
Sun, 2008/10/05 - 10:19pm — mself61welcome... I'm sure you'll like the SE although it may not sound great through your marshall (it may also) some have trouble with certain amps, it should sound fine through the pa, you will most likely be tweaking your sounds right from the get go once it arrives. there are tons of patches to download and you may want to go MIDI with it to make things really easy for you. On my sight I have backed up all the patches from here and elsewhere and also created 4 files of AMPS and CABS only for starting to find the tone your after. you may also want to download Kaal's whatisit and the converter programs files. Welcome. I have been using my SE at Church with great success, though I must admit I will be adding a dedicated wah pedal to my rig in the near future (I'm a sucker for the Morley/Vai Bad Horsie wah). If you are using an amp at Church I recommend using the "Power Amp In" if at all possible. I used a Traynor Custom Special 50 and set the SE to "Line".
I too chose the SE over the LE after owning (and going through great lengths to fix) a desktop edition.
