Hi Mike,
A couple of questions for you if/when you have time:
Q1. Have you changed your tube in your TL and if so what sort of tube do you have in there now?
Q2. Why do you have a Boss TU2 tuner? You don't trust the TL tuner? I ask this as I don't trust the tuner in my TLSE and prefer my own ears. My distrust is compounded by the fact that the TL tuner appears to give different results from moment to moment telling me I am flat one time I check and then sharp just moments later.
Cheers m'dear
Chris (MBW)

Did the tube trim, but
Fri, 2008/08/22 - 6:52am — guitarmikeDid the tube trim, but havent changed the tube. The tuner is really just a convienence. I have a couple of the tu2's, and an old skb pedal board as well as many other pedals. I mounted the TLLe on the board and decided to use the tu2. I also use my vox wah, so that I can have that as well as the TL distortions.
Im trying to get a service manuel for the LE because it seems the is at least one extra trim adjustment on it and I have know idea what it is. I may experiment with some different tubes at that time. Ill post when I get around to that.
As for the TLLe tuner, I used it a couple of times, seamed fine, but I have depended on the tu2 and had one, so I use it.
Here's what has happened to
Fri, 2008/08/22 - 7:46am — timtoneHere's what has happened to me at several of gigs B-4 I figured out what was happening with the TLSE tuner....as you press and hold the tuner button with your foot it is very easy to hit the "order/channel volume" knob right next to the tuner button.....if you happen to hit that knob, it can change the tuner setting, from 438 to 445....this happened a few times to me and I was really freaked out about how weird my rig sounded...all along it was the tuner that threw me out of tune and out of sync!!! Watch out for this one!
That reminds me of the time
Thu, 2008/08/28 - 10:50pm — guitarmikeThat reminds me of the time I was asked to fill in for a missing guitar player. I always tune to standard, these guys tune 1/2 step down. Nobody told that. So the drummer counts us in and we all hit the first chord, #$@!&^%!
That is so awesome,

I play mainly rhythm, but my lead guitarist uses a TLSE as well. He has accidentally changed the tuner setting to 445 (ick) on accident before.
I use a TU2. But, I did a side by side comparison- watching both the tu2 and the tlse as I tuned, and they showed identical pitch indication-so for what it's worth, I am totally convinced that the TLSE is accurate, but I think it's convenient to have the stombox tuner in the line.
