Just want to get some opinions really, those of you who use a Tech 21 power engine or an Atomic, do you use amp or line output for your TLSE.
At present I have mine set to amp,but I know if I change to line setting, i will have to eq all the patches, as the line setting is much brighter.
Has anyone else had to do this and which one do you use?
The more I use the TLSE, the more I love it, but we never stop learning with this bit of kit do we.
Regards
Andy

I'm using the Tech21 PE60
Sat, 2008/08/02 - 9:11pm — jofroI'm using the Tech21 PE60 with TLSE Line setting. Amp setting is much too dark for me and the PE is expecting a line level signal as input. Does not color the sound much at all and I get pretty good reproduction thru the Tech21. I've heard the same results are there for the Atomic as well, if not better.
Enjoy your big blue!

I use "Line" with the Atomic
Sat, 2008/08/02 - 11:57pm — kaalI use "Line" with the Atomic 112.
I also use a small mixer between TLSE & Atomic. It's simple 3 band EQ is nice (though not perfect) for quick&easy overall tone shaping, and it's "main mix" slider is my workaround for the non-existing volume control on the Atomic 112.
Thanks for the comments,

The mini mixer sounds a good idea, as I use a digitech Studio quad through a boss ls2 to give me an effects loop.
This would mean I could do away with the loop pedal.
This is my only minor gripe with the TLSE, in putting the insert loop at the front of the signal, means it's great for stomp boxes, but not so good for my studio Quad.
This is a minor criticism though as they are still great value for money.
