The Tonelab sound editor
Mon, 2008/06/09 - 4:35pm — nzdutchieThe Tonelab sound editor uses the tlp files. You have to connect the tonelab midi ports to your computer and run the sound editor to able to use tlp files. Then you can adjust your tonelab through your computer. "Tlp" files are the file extensions used to save settings just like "doc" are Microsoft Word files.

Even if you don't have the USB-Midi interface, you can still download .tlp files from this site and view them on your computer. An interface is highly recommended for editing patches.
