It was pretty wild to see a "roundup winner" that was also one of the mid priced cables was the Vox Class A...and was not all that shocked to see their rating of monster rock cables.
You may be skeptical when it comes to "a cable can't make all that much difference", but I do encourage you to check it out for yourself. To me it's a lot different than saying a pedal sounds better with certain screws missing. After all, the screws don't affect the signal path.

FWIW- I use Fulltone Gold

I use Fulltone Gold Standard Cables at this time.
Usually I see guitar cables from guitar companies as "expected add ons to newbies" at music shops...you know...the kid who wears and uses everything with Fender on it...(I have a "Fender" cable that came with my JB Strat-it died after 3 months).
I will have to buy a Vox cable to A/B myself against my Fulltone cables now...
Fender cables haven't worked

The one cable that has lasted me the longest is a Conquest braided cable. Back in the day I bought it, I equated length of life to cable quality (15 years ago). So when I bought a "better" silver cable from SamAsh 4 years ago and "heard the difference" I was hooked. With the Conquest, my PRS neck & bridge pups sounded the same, with the "new" cable, my PRS came alive!
Fulltone cable seem to let less highs pass through, but the sound is meaty. I am really interested in comparing to the Vox cable, and eventually (by year's end) purchasing a DiMarzio/Vai cable to see what that is all about too.
