its brand new. got it yesterday in the mail but found out that you can't record with it.

Fri, 2008/04/25 - 1:50pm — mself61hummmm you can record with it, but only MIDI DATA transmissions. if you have an SE or LE you can load and save patches to your PC, midi data can be recorded from MIDI keyboards, Guitars, Basses, Drums.. etc, then can be played back using the sound modules that you use or used to record the tracks.
