a poorly seated or "blown"

a poorly seated or "blown" tube would still allow for power up but no sound. I would try another PS if you can. Rocktron and older Digitech RPs use the same PS.

Firebrand is right on this

Firebrand is right on this one.
If the tube doesn't power on, that's the problem.
I would get another power cable, before I would send it off.
The tube should last a very long time.

After cracking open the

After cracking open the defunct power supply that came with my TLSE to put a new cable on it (from an old Digitech doner) I discovered that inside the Vox PS is a fuse. If you get a chance to try another PS and it works, then I would try cracking open the (then diagnosed) broken PS and replace the fuse.

haha no i haven't been

haha no i haven't been mistreating my tony i have tried everything you suggested (prior to your suggestion) wall socket was working, both ends of ps were plugged in.

also, after removing the tube, i noticed one of the pins was a charcoal colour. im thinking this could be the problem. however, still unknown. my unit is just over a year old and is out of warranty.

i purchased it over the internet at a well known music store.
has anyone had to send their tlse away for repair? if so how much did it set you back?

Just an update.. sent it to

Just an update..
sent it to a local circuit board repair place and they found that the fuze in the psu (even though i already checked it) had blown. they also pulled it apart and soldered up some "dry connections". all for a hundred bucks!
should've done it myself.

thanks for the suggestions.

god bless

$100 ?!? That better be the

$100 ?!? That better be the cleanest job ever. Did they fix just the PSU? You could get a new one for 1/2. It's the same PSU that Rocktron and Digitech used in the mid 90s. Korg also uses it on a couple keyboard models.

Man, I am glad after that painful extraction it all works. Did they give you a complimentary pillow? smile Maybe the guy wanted to really grow up to be a dentist...

hahaha.. they did just fix

hahaha.. they did just fix the psu... i would've gotten a different psu.. but i live in a small-ish town with not many music shops. im just glad they didnt stuff it up.

No doubt. I am still waiting

No doubt. I am still waiting on the "new" one that the guy I bought my TLSE is supposed to be sending. In the mean time I Frankensteined one from the original broken PS and a cord from the PS for an old RP6.

That's nice. Not me, but

That's nice.
Not me, but it's nice.
Especially with the strat.
When I have time I will redo my avatar with that or a PRS.
I don't own nor have any inkling to own a Les Paul.
It was just easier to create.
