Seem to have developed a problem with the A/B switch which works fine on some patches, and then is reluctant to work on others.
I use this for live work, and need to be confident it will work when I need it to.
I know there have been some posts about the quality of switches on the SE, but is there anything I can do to improve the situation.
For example will switch cleaner help, or a better quality switch on the A/B ? I am in the fortunate position of living in the city in the UK where Korg have their factory, so should be able to get it sorted if need be.
Would appreciate your suggestions and experiences on this, as it would be a shame to move to another pedal just because of reliability.

Mon, 2008/02/04 - 12:50pm — ChicoBluezI posted this a while back:
If your unit is out of warranty:
Open the unit (all the small screws on the bottom minus the group of 2 and don't forget the single screw next to the right exp pedal).
Locate the the board with the switches and free it from the chasis without ripping off attached wiring (5 or 6 screws).
Carefully turn board and manually check each switch while unit is powered (be careful not to touch the board with any surface or other board during this process).
If board switch does not work...you need a new one. I suspect it is fine...they either work or don't.
If the switches on the board work fine, your problem is the contact spring attached to the stomp switch not making a secure contact (back spring carefully counter clockwise to extend its contact length).
Power down unit and put it back together...should be fine.
Be not afraid of saving money...if your nervous...take it to a shop.
Good luck!
Chico
Thanks for the advice Chico,

Fri, 2008/03/07 - 3:43pm — noblesse obligeI have the same problem and a friend brought over some contact cleaner and sprayed the top of the switch...which helped a bit. When I get to the point of having time to take apart my board I will try the cleaner inside and let you know how it goes.
