I have a question about weather I should use the effects loop or the guitar in on my amp.
I have been using the input on my amp (Mesa Heartbreaker). It just seems like an unnessicary distance for the signal to travel. I use 20 ft cables, so that would be a total of 60ft. Into the amp, out of the amp, and then back in.
The effects loop is not stereo.
Ok, so i'm just throwing that out there.

I've used it both ways and found that you gain headroom through the loop/loose the extra EQ that the amp imput offers. In my case, it depended where I was playing and the sound of the enviroment that would dictate where I plugged in. If I'm not mistaken, your amp has a switchable effects loop. You can run it both ways if you wish and toogle back and forth....Cool!.

But it is definately a different sound. Cleaner I think... It sounds good either way. It also bypasses the pre-amps of my amp, so all there is a master volume on the amp . So now I get a clearer picture of exactly what the tonelab sounds like. Very cool.
