New to ToneLab 2 modulations at same time

reason's picture

Im currently thinking of purchasing a ToneLab LE. My Question is;

Can I run 2 or 3 modulation effects at the same time.

On my Korg AX1500G I can run chorus and fuzz at the same time, but on the ToneLab I noticed that both effects are within the modulation class.

Is it possible to run 2 modulation effects at the same time?

Thanks

unfortunately not, but you can run your Korg through the effects loop, I have a Zoom G9 and the TLSE that I run separate in stereo.

Charlie: The TLSE FUZZ is in

The TLSE FUZZ is in the Pedal section, whereas all of the choruses are in the Modulation section. You can run those two effects together no problem.

As for running multiple effects inside a section (Pedal, Modulation, Delay, Reverb), you can't run more than one at a time. Sometimes this is a hassle (like when you want to run Pitch Shifter with any of the choruses), but most of the time it isn't an issue.

As you probably already know, one of the biggest design issues with the TL family is the grouping of non-distortion pedals (WAH, COMP, Phasers, etc) in with the distortion stomps. That means that if, for example, you want to run a pedal distortion through a WAH, you'll have to come up with an outboard pedal for either the WAH or distortion.

Either way, hopefully that clears things up a bit.

Good luck!

some of the pedal effects (

some of the pedal effects ( like the Univibe & auto wah, etc) have some cool effects that you can apply.
But the TLSE is pretty much a one trick pony.... but a nice one at that!

You can run the modulation

You can run the modulation delay plus another mod effect, like chorus or flange....but one is usually plenty...YMMV

I think what he meant was 2

I think what he meant was 2 effects from the same module guys, you know like run the compressor and the tube OD from the "pedal" module, that is one thing the old cheapo zoom pedals and those digitech's could do in a sense, I've stated before that it would have made the TL 50 times greater to have that capability for each mod device, of course having TO MUCH though can ruin your tone, but yea... Vox SHOULD have separated some of those effects and the compressor for sure along with the wah effects, it would have been great if they allowed even just 2 effects per module.
