But I'm back with a song in which I think my AC15 patch sound's sweeeeeeet cheesey grin

Take a tour and comment please, last time i linked to a song I got criticism regarding my dump drummer sad Monte I've learn my lesson and made it better with this one I think smile

Yeah man, Nice tune and the drummer has taken in some lessons cheesey grin , this time though you could actually mic him louder at least in the cymbals, I wanna hear your git a hair louder also and the Bass a hair and a half, then I'll save it to my MP3 player and promote it to all, I LOVE the the Talk box too - POST THE PATCH, is that ALL YOU or your band too ?.

Well usually I write the material and then we take it up in my band. This one I made all alone. Stuff used:

AthlonXP computer with only 512 MB of RAM
UbuntuStudio

Drums Hydrogen

Guitar GibsonSG with 009 strings.

ToneLabSE with my usual patch, if you want it just download the one i already uploaded, and make som different ones with the desired effects.

ZyndAddSubFX a GPL Synth which can say almost like anything you can imagine.

Ardour multitrac record app. for Linux and Mac

McCannon UD255 mike for the singing

And a RME Digi96/8 + Behringer ADA8000 AD converter with preamps.

For the drums to be as real as I could think of, I started out with the usual dump drummer one note beat, and when I got my ground guitar track recorded, I replaced pieces bit by bit until I was happy, took me about a day.

Then I recorded the bass and wrote the text, the text was recorded yesterday just before the upload.

If you think my technique is special regarding guitarplay it's probably because I only use fingerpicking thats cool for me, and you like it it seems smile

I didn't kill it !!! was that you singing too ? I know you said "ALL ALONE" but I was thinking it might be the singer in the band cause I cant picture you singing it, but then that avatar is a little faded cheesey grin ,
I've never heard of Ardour, is that somewhat like Sonar? and is that part of the same app UbuntuStudio ?
I have Hydrogen, I just don't use it, does it use the PC's midi instruments for the drums or work as a plug-in for the UbuntuStudio?
about your playing I realize your fingerpicking, I notice you have a distinct style and it would be great to have at least a few tabs to try and capture that style some.

Well to be honest I love your comments and I'm just jokeing cool

Thanks to all which cared to listen to my song. My own opinion is that I'm pleased with the tone, and most of the project, but I could have worked a little harder specially on the Bass sound, I having trouble getting that right.

sabbathtanic schizophrenic, yep thats me cheesey grin , really though I wasn't measuring your skills by your avi, It's that I never heard you sing and it sounds dam good. yeah a little bit more bass would kick it up a notch with the cymbals as I said, but as it stands its pretty dam good. just add some color to your avi now and it will sound even better cheesey grin .

No you could be right, but the sound I've dialed in on the ToneLab is pretty much the same as in my two tube amps, and their design is similar to Vox so I guess the real thing would suit me fine. But the win in using ToneLab for me is the good sound I get when recording the guitar.
