I'll bet it sounds great,

I'll bet it sounds great, but I'm sticking with the TLSE for live gigging. Don't want the reliability issues of lugging a PC around.

Keep us posted!

It does indeed sound great.

It does indeed sound great. I would highly recommend it. I don't have the foot controller - just the software - but its a very good plug in. The modelling of the various amps, cabinets and stomp boxes sounds very good - but the really great part about it is how you can use the software to rig everything up. So you could, for example, run a Vox AC15 to a Vox AC30 to a plexi with various stomp boxes in between or use a signal splitter to two amps/cabinets/effects and then blend the sound. I also concur with John - I wouldn't swap the TLSE - its just so much easier in terms of live use. While you certainly could use Guitar Rig 2 live - I find the whole prospect of playing through a laptop in a live situation just too scary! I have seen a clip on You Tube which I posted up here which shows that you can yse the TLSE as a foot controller with Guitar Rig 2 - so I might give it a try and report back.

yes, I as well have it, but

yes, I as well have it, but true you don't want to lug around a PC but perhaps a Laptop with some power would fair good, although you still may have issues running software. I have been exploring this a little myself and still I think our TLSE is a better option. if you can get your RIG to work with RIG2 rather flawlessly without having to worry about PC output failing then you got something, I have not been able to experiment live with this, ultimately I want to build my rig where I KNOW how to get the sound I want.

Meh, I have it, and I don't

Meh, I have it, and I don't really like it that much. I got it before I even knew what the TL was.

Very cool system! I don't

Very cool system! I don't have it. I'm sure I can get very comparable tones from the TLSE. Remember, it's not the equiptment...it's the operator tongue .

"it's not the

"it's not the equiptment...it's the operator" or the people handing out bad equipment possibly, say like a contest of a sort  , it's true you can get compareable with TLSE , and a Zoom G9 in my case makes it easier.

I've heard good things about

I've heard good things about this, and NI have made some of the best software plugs. Just out of interest, what actually happens to your guitar signal with this setup ? We've had plenty of chat about matching the correct amp levels with the TL so how does guitar rig sit in place ?

I reinstalled it... and I

I reinstalled it... and I still can't get anything useful out of it. The only thing I really like on it is the studio reverb tongue Maybe I'm doing something completely wrong, but I do know how to use guitar equipment tongue

I should have added that in

I should have added that in PC recording it seemed to be comparable.

I downloaded it and tried it

I downloaded it and tried it out for a couple of hours. But it sounds like crap on all gain sounds so I guess Im doing something totally wrong. I get unwanted distortion on all but the clean sounds. But the reverbs and delays are kickass as far as I can tell.

But how do you guys get it to sound good on the gain sounds?

hum... maybe a good sound

hum... maybe a good sound card might be needed, what do you have now Joa ?

It sounded alot better after

It sounded alot better after rebooting the computer, funny enough. Mow I just feel that the sound is to boxed when using alot of gain. Like bad 80s thrash sound, hehe

I installed it but I can´t

I installed it but I can´t use it...I have tried to configure mu souncard and drivers for several hours but I can´t get it to work...When i plug in my guitar it makes a VERY strange squeeling sound and there´s a huge latency problem...Something is not right with my Realtec soundcard. And no matter how I try to configure it...It sounds the same. I think I have to wait `till I get my Snakey cable thing to try it.

Cheers!

I don't know if regular pc

I don't know if regular pc soundcards can do this, not sure but you may need to upgrade to a better one. and Joakim... yeah it helps to reboot sometimes cheesey grin

Well, the soundcard is

Well, the soundcard is alright, has made great recordings previously since I got some settings sorted out.

But the thing I hate, is when you take your TLSE and crank up the gain on for example the 80s amp, and you get that compressed bottom end. And that is like all I ever get with the guitar rig. But I guess there are sooooooo many settings, I have alot more to try. But it seems to do clean sounds alright. Maybe running the signal through the TLSE and into the guitarrig without amp or cab and seing how that works?

I have it and use it for

I have it and use it for quick recording. It sounds pretty decent, and I have never gone past the presets.

Here's a scratch recording I made with my band, using the guitar rig software: www.myspace.com/sinangelrock

It's just a scratch track with reason-made drums, meant to work out the arrangement only, and have something to show our music over the web now that we got our stuff copyright-protected. It should give you an example of how some presets sound.

I think we will start to see

I think we will start to see more programs like Guitar Rig 2.
Keyboard players have been doing this for years.
For me, I'm pretty happy with the modeling concept.
