Some Ol' Style Funk Patches

Supersly_X's picture

Since Funk is closer to Jazz I posted it here. There are some funk patches I made listening to the most characteristic recordings of late 60s and the 70s. Some of them include The Meters,Maceo & The Macks,The JBs,Curtis Mayfield,Bar-Kays and lots of other similar stuff.

Right On !!!

Superly;
welcome to the site.
growing up in So Calif in the 1970's, I got to see some of those funk bands live!
They were using pedals ( like wah, phasers, chorus) and amps like Fender, Ampeg and the Roland Chorus amp.
The main guitar of choice was a Fender Strat.
I bought one just to be able to get that sound!

Thanx a lot for the info and the welcome.Since it comes from a musician that lived that era it 's very helpful.I would appreciate any remarks or editing in my patches,since I made them solely out of listening experience.They 're the ones I use mainly to play music.
Many thanx again.
