Since Funk is closer to Jazz I posted it here. There are some funk patches I made listening to the most characteristic recordings of late 60s and the 70s. Some of them include The Meters,Maceo & The Macks,The JBs,Curtis Mayfield,Bar-Kays and lots of other similar stuff.

growing up in So Calif in the 1970's, I got to see some of those funk bands live!
They were using pedals ( like wah, phasers, chorus) and amps like Fender, Ampeg and the Roland Chorus amp.
The main guitar of choice was a Fender Strat.
I bought one just to be able to get that sound!
