My first recording with the LE. I heard this little clip on 18watt.com and it inspired me to try it on the LE. This thing amazingly close to a real amp tone IMO. Guitar is Godin stXA with bridge PU. LE is straight into the board through a an ART 600-600 ohm direct box.
Updated to add same song this time with one channel recorded from my Fender HR Deluxe mic'd with a CAD E100 condenser mic. Same patch and Ln2 setting.

Same patch and Ln2 setting. In case I have my sides swapped, the mic'd channel is the one that doesn't fade at the end. The amp to me sound's about the same with a little fuller bottom end. What do you think?

I'm assuming the "fade" you refer to above, is a fade of the solo line over the top of the rhythm, which the other track (which is also quieter) does not have.
I far prefer the quiter channel with no fading solo line, which I assume is the miked channel. Simply has a much nicer frequency range.

You are correct Alan. I
Sat, 2007/07/21 - 8:40am — tbyrdYou are correct Alan. I prefer that tone also. This is probably the setup I'll use for my band gigs. For Church, I'm going direct for simplicity (and because no one out there would notice anyway). Thanks for your comment.
