You're ready to save your patches
You have a patch you think everyone will enjoy. It's time to save it, so you can upload it. What are we waiting for? Let's get started.
Open the SoundEditor
You should see something like this:

Find and select the patch you want to save.
Select the Patch to Export
Click the "File" menu, and select "Export."

This opens the "Export Dialogue." Notice in the "Target Program" section, the patch we're on is already selected. If we change our minds, and want to select another patch, just select the preset you're looking for in the drop down menu.

Save to File
Choose a location to save your file. Make sure it's somewhere you'll remember, so you don't have to hunt for it later.

Right now, lets take a moment to talk about friendly file names. I've put together a list of guidelines for filenames:
- When saving for the web, try to give files unique names that won't get confused with any other file.
- You should never start a file with a number, capital letter, or special character. Only start filenames with lowercase letters. The reason for this is beyond the scope of this article, but trust me, it will make everybody's lives easier.
- Never allow a space in a file name. Instead, replace spaces with an underscore ( _ ) or a dash ( - ).
- Ideally all files should be all lowercase, with only letters, numbers, underscores, and dashes.
If you're file names don't follow this format, there is some possibility that when people try to download it later, things might not work right. Do everyone a favor, and always rename your files according to these guidelines.

Once you've named your file with a friendly file name, click "Save."
Well, that was easy. Now, lets give a shot at uploading it shall we?
