The VOX ToneLab Patch Exchange

Admin's picture

Our purpose is to provide ToneLab users with a centralized community to exchange patches, tips, tricks and experiences.

Please feel free to join, and submit your patches. Try to be as detailed as you can with your descriptions. If you're uploading a single patch, and you can make a recording of what the patch sounds like (mp3 only), that would be great. Also, let us know what kind of other equipment you're using (guitar, amp, other effects, etc.). All of that info can be added to your user profile under "My account".

You're always welcome to download any patches that strike your interest. If you use them in the studio or on stage, post a comment, and let us know how things go.

If you find us useful, tell your friends; help us build our community.

I look forward to hearing from all of you and trying out all the patches you submit.

Tonelab SE and stereo amps

Kieren's picture

Hi everyone (and maybe, in particular, Monte and Chico)

I got a cheap second Tech 21 powerengine from ebay. I'll pick it up this weekend with the intention of running the SE in stereo through the two Tech 21's. I know some of the people on this forum have had experience in doing this in their rigs. Calling on your expertise/knowledge, (i) is there anything special I should know about setting up a stereo rig and (ii) what are the best patches/effects you have had success with in stereo?

Looking forward, as always, to you help.

Kieren

BBE Sonic Stomp and TLSE

fingers's picture

I know some of you guys use the BBE Sonic Stomp with the tlse.

I use the SE with the Tech 21 PE60,and don't get me wrong, I am very happy with them both, but am curious to know what benefit you get from the BBE Sonic Stomp?

Answers on a postcard please.

TLP Files for Tonelab SE

daveh's picture

Hi everyone...

I'm afraid I don't have much of a clue about this stuff-Just bought an SE, only got a laptop and try as I do, can't download tlp files. Wondered if there is anywhere I can just look so I can see what to dial into my SE? Eg... VR 10 Middle 5 etc? Haven't got midi so pretty knackered all round... any help appreciated :-)

Acoustic simulator

gregor's picture

Dear Tonelab LE users.

I am new to this machine, and new to this forum.
Just upacked the TLLE a few days ago. As I live in Mexico, I got it via eBay USA, after reading tons of reviews and posts, including on tonelab.net.
Main use: as sound generator between my workhorese guitar (a US Fender Stratocaster) and a Marshall Jubilee tube amp.

I must say that the potential seems great, put first hand experience playing around with the LE was mixed.
In particular, I have been unable to get an "acoustic sim" sound that is anywhere close to the demo videos and sound samples available on the net.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem and found a solution?

Sunday Setlist

jofro's picture

It's been a long time since we've posted this thread, so here goes...

For you worship leaders/players out there, what is your most recent Sunday setlist? How are you using your ToneLab for the songs?

Last week at Grace Chapel, we did:

Your Grace is Enough - Chris Tomlin
Majestic - Lincoln Brewster
Song of Hope - Robbie Seay
Blessed Be the Lord - Newsboys/U2 groove thing
From the Inside Out - Hillsong United
Marvelous Light - Charlie Hall

Shoot me a note if you'd like some sample patches (TLSE)

Using headphones with a Tonelab Desktop

jeffrec's picture

I just picked up a decent set of headphones (AKG) to use when practicing at home. The headphones sound great with my iPod and other devices, but when I tried it with the Tonelab, it was very thin sounding, with buzzy distortion. I've tried switching the amp/line switch to each setting, but the amp setting setting is very muffled sounding.

Is there something I should be doing differently?

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

Amazing!

Fredrik's picture

Hey guys! I got a Tonelab LE a few weeks ago. I just wanted to get the best sound possible for the band and even just when I am playing at home. This thing makes anything sound GREAT! I love this thing, it really improved the cleans on my 5150 and it's all I would need really. The only problem is that I don't think I can use this with my current band as we switch from distorted to clean a lot in every song, and I noticed the time it takes to switch a channel is a little longer than my old distortion pedal I was using.

Now, I just have a question. Does anyone have experience with the new Tonelab ST? I am wondering if switching channels is smoother and quicker on it. Thanks guys.
