The VOX ToneLab Patch Exchange

Admin's picture

Our purpose is to provide ToneLab users with a centralized community to exchange patches, tips, tricks and experiences.

Please feel free to join, and submit your patches. Try to be as detailed as you can with your descriptions. If you're uploading a single patch, and you can make a recording of what the patch sounds like (mp3 only), that would be great. Also, let us know what kind of other equipment you're using (guitar, amp, other effects, etc.). All of that info can be added to your user profile under "My account".

You're always welcome to download any patches that strike your interest. You can rate patches with a simple five-star system. If you use them in the studio or on stage, post a comment, and let us know how things go.

If you find us useful, tell your friends; help us build our community.

That said, bear with us. We're a work in progress. We'll try to keep adding features as much as we can.

I'm almost finished with this tune Heaven's Dream. I did post what I have on the myspace. The TLSE is beyond words again.

Check it out!

Just got it today. Been wanting to try one of these forever, so I finally got one off ebay. First impressions - I like it. Very nice bottom end (which I was hoping for) and nice smooth top end (which I was also hoping for). Now I just need to record some clips and see how it compares with my direct tone. Anybody else enjoying one of these?

No amp model just cab

I'm extremely bored at work so I'll give ideas.

None of the amp models in the tonelab give me that sonic high that my main amp has. Which is okay I bought the tonelab primarily for quit practice. I tried using it at church, but they don't have the right setup.

I run my Mesa Nomad mostly pre-distortion because it's to loud to run it power amp distortion. The nomad doesn't have the typical mesa sound to it it's a little darker which some people hate some people love. I love it; the recto models and the express models have to much cut for my taste.

applause What more can I say? The TLSE is rockn' all over the latest recording for my CD project. I almost went surf guitars but restrained myself. Maybe the next CD,

Check out "I Got Down Wit Cha" on the myspace link.

Anyone have an extra footswitch for their TLSE?

One of the footswitches on my TLSE is intermittent and could probably go at any time. So I am wondering if anyone else stocked up on them and would be willing to sell one. I have no Vox dealer in the area, and don't know of any reliable shops to work with in a 3 hour driving radius. If you happen to know a dealer that is great to work with that info would be greatly appreciated as well. Thank you.

First of all, hi! My name is Luis, I hail from Uruguay, and I'm a novice user of a Tonelab LE. I've owned my unit for nearly two months now so, needless to say, I'm still thrilled about it... Before this I used a very nice Marshall JCM900 amp which I always borrowed from my dad, but alas, I can't go on forever borrowing stuff (plus I've always wanted to have effects to fool around with, yet never got to buy a pedal board of anykind)... so I bought this unit which I've been using in combination with an old Yamaha JX40 amp, and to my surprise, it actually sounds pretty darned good! It might not deliver entirely in terms of loudness, but for now it'll do just fine...

Anyway, after experimenting quite a bit with the tone modeling itself, and having put together a handful of patches to cover most of my guitaring needs, I've started to wonder about "what else" can I do with the Tonelab... Which brings me to the following.

Effects Loop or Direct??

Hi.

I was looking at the back of my amp (for some strange reason) and i saw that i had effects loop (Send, Return L/R). I was wondering, what works best, to go ... Guitar -> TLSE -> Amp .. or ... Guitar -> Amp -> TLSE (In effects loop). I've had it set up the first way since i got the TLSE but I'm not sure which way to do it. And if the effects loop is the best way to have it set up what should I do to my TLSE patches so they work perfect.

Cheers

Actually not really cheesey grin I brought it with me.... but instead I decided to mic up all the $$$$$$ tube amps they had there tongue JCM2000 super lead, AC30, AC15, twin 'verb all make me very happy cheesey grin

As a band class field trip.... we all threw in some cash to spend the day in a real recording studio. Ted Nugent recorded one of his albums there, and Kid Rock did some work in it. We got 4 songs recorded in 4 hours (we were VERY efficient!) Bark at the moon, Sweet Emotion, Brown Eyed girl, and Hard to handle.
